Cultural Performances Registration​

Atlanta Tamil Mandram (ATM) Cultural Events Guidelines – Deepavali 2026
  1. Group Performances: Only groups with a minimum of 10 participants will be allowed to perform on stage. The order of performances will be prioritized based on the participants’ ages to ensure a balanced representation of all age groups.
  2. No Solo or Small Groups: Solo registrations are not allowed, and group registrations must have at least 10 participants for Cultural Events.
  3. Performance Duration (Max):
    1. 4 minutes and 30 secs for Dance, Music, Classical, Folk, etc.
    2. 8 minutes for Drama, Karaoke, Parai, Variety Programs, etc.
  4. Variety Programs (Variety Show): If a team selects “Variety Show” during cultural registration, they must provide the following details in the “Enter Variety show details” section:
    1. Name of the Variety Show: Please mention the type/name of the variety program, such as Drama, Mimicry, Stand-up Comedy, Parai, Skit, etc.
    2. Theme/Concept: Explain the theme/concept of the performance and the reason for choosing the Variety Program.
    3. Props: Provide a complete list of all props that will be used during the performance.
    4. Cultural Team Approval: The Cultural Team will review and approve the submission before the team can proceed with the Variety Program.
    5. Duration: Only programs approved by the Cultural Team as a Variety Program will be allotted a maximum duration of 8 minutes. If the program is not approved as a Variety Program, it will be considered as a regular program and will be limited to 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
  5. One Performance per Participant: Each participant may perform only once on stage, ensuring fair opportunities for all. Last-minute cancellations are to be avoided.
  6. Registration Process: Registrations will be processed in the order they are received and will close on September 28, 2026, or once the maximum number of entries is reached. Any registrations received after the deadline or once the limit is reached will be placed on a waiting list.
  7. Song Selection: Participants must provide their song choices at the time of registration. Full songs cannot be repeated. Repetition of song is allowed for the first 2 entries only. For Medley only 5 songs can be chosen. ATM must approve all the songs. Song requests cannot be changed after registration unless ATM requests a change due to repeated songs. Song approval deadline: September 28, 2026.
  8. Deepavali Cultural Highlights: To celebrate the Festival of Lights, please showcase our rich heritage. Participants are encouraged to use traditional attire or props and to perform cultural activities such as traditional dances, music, or skits that capture the true spirit of Deepavali.
  9. Choreographer Requirements:
    1. Submit a group photo in costumes by October 09, 2026.
    2. Provide a 1-minute promo video by October 09, 2026.
    3. Promo Video Song Selection: Teams are requested not to use any unapproved songs in their promo videos. If you would like to use a song that has not yet been approved, please obtain approval in advance and submit the separate audio file before creating the promo video. For singing teams, please also submit the lyrics along with the song for approval.
    4. Send these materials to cultural@atlantatamilmandram.org.
    5. Audio Files:
      1. Audio File Requirements: Audio files must be submitted in MP3 format. The choreographer is responsible for audio quality.
      2. Audio File Name Format: Audio file must be named using the team name in the following format: TeamName_Audio.mp3.
      3. Audio/Transcript Submission: All audio files, scripts, or dialogues must be emailed to cultural@atlantatamilmandram.org by September 29, 2026.
    6. LED Wall – Video Files: If you agree to submit video files for LED Wall, please follow these requirements:
      1. LED Wall – Video File Requirements: Video files must be submitted in MP4 format with a minimum resolution of 2K or higher. The choreographer is responsible for ensuring the quality and resolution of the submitted video file.
      2. Video File Name Format: Video file must be named using the team name in the following format: TeamName_Video.mp4.
      3. LED Wall – Video File Submission: All video files without audio must be emailed to cultural@atlantatamilmandram.org by September 29, 2026.
  10. Music Performance: All singing teams should submit their lyrics to the Cultural Team for review by September 29, 2026. Please ensure that your team uses only karaoke for the performance.
  11. Participant Details: Choreographers must submit the full name of each participant in both English and Tamil, along with their ATM-registered email address, at the time of registration. Failure to provide the required participant details by the deadline may result in the team being placed on the waiting list or being given a final opportunity to submit the details on the day of the event. Final Deadline for Participant Details: September 29, 2026.
  12. Participation Fees:
    1. No fee for ATM members and their families.
    2. Non-members can join by becoming an ATM member or paying a $25 non-member fee per person.

  13. Membership Payment Deadline: The last date to pay membership fees is September 29, 2026.
  14. Digital Waiver Form Deadline: October 18, 2026.
  15. Appropriateness of Content: All performance content (language, lyrics, attire) must be suitable for all age groups, in line with Tamil tradition, and should not be offensive or harmful to any group, community, or ethnicity.
  16. Program Review: The cultural committee will review each program to ensure it meets quality standards and provide feedback by October 18, 2026.
  17. Program Coordinator Responsibility: All program coordinators and participants should report to the venue 30 minutes before the event. The performance order will be disclosed only on the event day to encourage and support all participants.
  18. Timely Reporting: If participants do not report on time or if there are insufficient participants, the program will be automatically canceled.
